Recruiter.com’s Practice Leader for Talent Effectiveness, Stephanie Benesh, joined the Recruiting Trailblazers podcast hosted by Marcus Edwardes.
Benesh touches on the traditional, interrogative interview process and how it may lead to missed opportunities with potential candidates.
“Humanizing the interview process is really important—maintaining a connectedness, whether it’s with the recruiter and the candidate or the candidate and the hiring manager of the organization. People need to feel connected. When we enter that space with that interrogative process, we really lose a lot of what we could learn from an individual,” explained Benesh.
Benesh and Edwardes also discussed how an interviewer can go beyond just a candidate's resume, hiring based on “likeability” and showcasing company culture on zoom.
