Recruiter.com’s CEO, Evan Sohn, joined CNBC’s “The Exchange” with Kelly Evans to discuss the labor market cooldown and job mobility.
Sohn shared that the June Recruiter Index reported a 27 percent decrease since May in the number of roles recruiters are working to fill, showing a slight slow up in hiring to combat the over hiring companies were doing in order to keep up with the job hopper economy.
“21 percent of the recruiters reported that candidates have had three jobs in the past two years and 44 percent reported they had two jobs in the past two years,” said Sohn, “So job mobility is going to continue. People are going to chase the jobs that have more compensation and I think companies need to better align how many roles they are attriting and hiring on a daily basis.”
