Recruiter.com’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Angela Copeland, spoke with Fortune about companies rescinding job offers and the effect it could have on the companies reputation. 

Copeland shared a personal experience, where she received a verbal offer from a company, only to result in an extension of the interview process while the position was put on hold.

“I don't think that hiring manager ever understood what an impact that decision had on me. To him, it was just something he no longer had in the budget. To me, it impacted my entire life,” said Copeland.
