Are Recruiters the Hardest to Recruit?

Written by Nicole Gallina | Nov 24, 2021

According to the Wall Street Journal recruiters are currently the hardest positions to fill. Their recent article reports that recruiter positions have more than doubled since the start of 2021.

“It’s no surprise that the demand for recruiters has increased," said CEO of Recruiter.com, Evan Sohn. “We are currently transitioning into the job hopper economy and I believe it’s here to stay. This means employees will be leaving their companies quicker and more frequently than ever before - in fact, 60% of millennials are willing to leave their job within the first year.”

Sohn continued, “In order for companies to keep up with their hiring demands they need to increase their numerator in their job search, by seeking out more candidates, perhaps some who may not even be actively looking for a new opportunity.”

Recruiter.com has recently launched a career community for recruiters to help recruiters find jobs and explore on-demand talent acquisition projects. The platform also has a network of recruiters on demand, which allows you to add recruiters to your team, short or long term, for professional recruiting assistance.

“Our October Recruiter Index, which gauges the current hiring trends from talent acquisition professionals, had Recruiting and Staffing as the third most in-demand industry at 21%,” said Sohn, “As companies continue to hire from anywhere we expect the demand for recruiters to continue to be on the rise.”
